Jon Russell, Republican for U.S. Congress, is pleased to announce that

has passed an ordinance to cut property taxes. Russell, a Washougal

The number of Washingtonians with no health insurance will soon reach 1
million, according to a report today from state Insurance Commissioner Mike
Kreidler. Kreidler also predicts that the cost of uncompensated medical care in
the state will reach $1 billion annually by 2011. In seven years, the cost of
uncompensated care including uncollected medical debts and charity care by
hospitals and other health providers, has increased by over 80 percent from $457

Department heads at the City of Washougal notified Mayor Pro-Tem Molly Coston and Mayor-Elect Sean
Guard today that they would not be accepting cost of living
increases for 2010.
Department heads were notified in September by former Mayor Stacee Sellers that she was requesting a 3% cost of
living adjustment for all of them in the 2010 Budget.

I kept thinking that I would get over my disappointment and anger with
Congressman Brian Baird. As a moderate Democrat I have tried to understand his
lack of support for progressive issues and President Obama, but I don’t.
Right now, at this time in history he has turned to the
