Washougal City Council Censures Mayor Sellers

In an article written by Marrissa Harshman of the Columbian tonight:
The Mayor issued an apology and plan to deal with shortcomings.....The Washougal City Council passed a resolution Friday night expressing its disapproval of Mayor Stacee Sellers’ behavior and lack of effective communication.

The censure vote will not result in Sellers being removed from her position; it is only a record of the council’s dissatisfaction. The council unanimously approved the resolution, and Sellers said she ...

Press Swarm City Hall

In  anticipation of a city council meeting tonight at 5:30 to decide what action the city should take against Mayor Stacee Sellers, the press have swarmed around city hall already (12:00noon)
We are told that Mayor Sellers just came out of a meeting with auditors and ordered the press to all leave or she would call the police. 

She announced that there will be a press release issued...

"The state auditor’s office launched an investigation of Skamania County Auditor J. Michael Garvison this week after the county’s former prosecuting attorney released expense reports that he said showed Garvison has billed county taxpayers for tens of thousands of dollars in questionable travel expenses in recent years.

Camas City Council considers raising utility rates another 25%

The camas city council is considering sticking it to you some more.

 

The increases will hit Camas residents and additional 25% in water and storm water rates and a slight increase in sanitation rates.

Using the same reasons the city used this spring to increase our utility rate...
