A timber company owned by the Confederate Tribes of the Warm Springs Reservation has filed suit against the Hambleton Lumber Co. of Washougal, Wash., The Hermiston Herald reported today. In a legal complaint filed March 15, the company claims it delivered about 185 loads of logs to Hambleton Lumber between September and November of 2009 but the sawmill has not paid for the product. Warm Springs Forest Products Industries is seeking $230,000 in compensation for the logs, plus interest and other costs, according to the complaint.
