We had the opportunity to dine at Hearth Restaurant, Washougal’s newest restaurant which opens August 18th.

 

Probably the smartest thing a restaurant can do is have a “soft opening” the week before so they can work the kinks out.

 

Something strange I’ve never experienced before was that you can see their menu on their website, so I pretty much had an idea of what I was going to try….when we arrived, they had a different menu. A little disappointing.

This has been an unfortunate week for the taxpayers of this state. Yesterday, the governor signed Senate Bill 6130 into law. This suspends the Taxpayer Protection Act of 2007 (I-960). I fought against this legislation and joined my Republican colleagues and moderate Democrats in voting against it. Camas City Council considers raising utility rates another 25%

Camas Utility Rate Increases

In the spring of this year, we came out opposed to a nearly 20% utility rate increase proposed by and eventually approved by the City of Camas Council.
Mr. Brachmann discussed proposed water, sewer, stormwater and sanitary rate increases for 2010-2013 at the Camas Council meeting in September.
