As Port Commissioner Bill Ward said tonight at the closing of the Port Meeting

It truly was an end of an era as the last public meeting of the Port Commissioner Alan Hargrave and Jim Carroll will be replaced by commissioners elect Bill Smith and Mark Lampton.

Grove Field Safety Improvement Opposition Heats Up….

In a contentious campaign issue that surfaced during the Port Commissioner race; Lynn Johnston, owner of the Johnston Dairy land has sent out a rally cry to residents of LaCamas Shores and fern prairie residents to condemn the Grove Field Airport.

THE FACTS ABOUT GROVE FIELD….NOT THE HYPE!!

Grove Field has been designated as a NPIAS (National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems) Airport.  Because of this designation Grove Field was eligible for FAA monies to make an AIP (Airport Improvement Program) Plan. 
The Plan  was to decide what the owner (Port C/W) was going to do with the airport over the next 20 years.
