In an article on KOIN: "

WASHOUGAL, Wash.-  The mayor of Washougal apperars to be moving and isn't talking, after getting just 30-percent of the vote so far in the the mayoral election.  Stacee Sellers' opponent Sean Guard, who got 70-percent of the votes say he hasn't heard from the incumbent yet, either.

Sellers is at the center of a state audit that has turned up questionable spending practices by the mayor, and about $100,000 dollars missing from the city's bank account; so far the money remains unaccounted for.

Some citizens and at least one city council member are calling for the mayor to resign, before her term ends at the end of the year.  Guard also tells KOIN Local 6 he believes the mayor resigning would be the right thing to do to move the city forward, and away from the turmoil and trouble it is currently experiencing.

KOIN Local 6 made a variety of attempts to contact Sellers and ask her reaction to her major re-election bid loss.  When we finally found the mayor, she ducked away and wouldn't visit with us.
We caught up with her outside her residence, where she had been loading a U-Haul truck.  It's not clear where the mayor is moving.

Some city leader and residents have called for the mayor to resign, but she has not responded to the requests.  Seller's term ends January 1st, 2010.
